This page explains how to delete your Catchfly account and what happens to your data. If you need help at any time, email team@catchfly.link.
Delete in the app
- Open the Catchfly app while signed in.
- Go to Settings (from your profile).
- Tap Delete account.
- Follow the on‑screen confirmation (you may be asked to enter a short confirmation code).
When confirmed, the app removes your data and signs you out.
Can’t access the app?
Email team@catchfly.link from the email address associated with your account and include: your full name and a brief note that you’d like your account deleted. We’ll verify ownership and process the request.
What we delete
- Account (authentication): your Supabase Auth user is deleted when you perform the deletion procedure described in Delete in the app
- Profile: all your profile records.
- Connections: connections involving your account.
- Private notes: notes you created and notes that reference your account where permissions allow.
- Connection codes: any unused/used codes related to your account.
What may remain
- Content created by others: other users’ own notes or records are controlled by them. We attempt to remove items that directly reference your account where permitted.
- Backups and logs: infrastructure providers keep short‑term backups and essential security logs. These are automatically purged on their schedules; we don’t use them to operate your account after deletion.
- Legal requirements: we may retain minimal information if required by law.
How long it takes
Removal from active databases is immediate once confirmed. Provider backups and caches clear on their normal retention cycles.
